There are many reasons to choose La Manga Club for your well-earned break. One of the greatest attractions is the wide range of sports and leisure activities the resort offers.

Cricket

It is now possible to play cricket at La Manga Club as there are now two regulation Club Turf pitches. Every cricket club that chooses La Manga Club for training will benefit from the personalised coordination services of our highly experienced Sports Groups department, who will attend to your every need before and throughout your stay.

Rugby

The climate and facilities at La Manga Club are also ideal for rugby and a number of top clubs have already chosen La Manga Club for their winter rugby training camps. One of our pitches has been purpose-designed to convert into a rugby pitch. Rugby goalposts and comprehensive sports group coordination services are also provided. The Great Britain Rugby League Team, the Irish National Rugby Squad and the Bradford Bulls are amongst the teams to have trained at La Manga Club.

Water Sports

Strategically situated between two seas, La Manga Club is the ideal base for water sports. Just ten minutes from the resort you will discover an infinite world of water-based activities waiting to be tried. Don’t miss out, take the plunge and enjoy!

Covering an area of some 170 square kilometres, the Mar Menor is Europe’s largest saltwater lagoon. This unique setting has everything you need for water sports: great weather, constant thermal winds, warm shallow water, on average 6° warmer than the Mediterranean… All of which explain why it is considered one of Europe’s best sailing and windsurfing destinations.

Sailing & Windsurfing

Sailing on the Mar Menor is a fantastic experience: its gentle water and soft winds make it a safe environment for learning and practising. Windy days offer an added challenge to more experienced sailors, yet without the risks of the open sea. If you would like to learn to sail while on holiday, dinghy sailing and windsurfing courses are available through locally-based sailing and wind-surfing schools. It is also possible to hire dinghies, boards and wetsuits.
