Frequently asked questions about La Manga Club

Check In and Check Out Your accommodation at La Manga Club is available to you from 4.00 pm on the day of your arrival until 10.30am on your day of departure. At certain times of the year, it may be possible to arrange for you to access your accommodation at La Manga Club slightly earlier or with a later departure, but we cannot guarantee this.

Air Conditioned accommodation at La Manga Club In high season, air-conditioning is standard in all properties at La Manga Club and is included in the price you pay for all accommodation, however, in some properties this is an optional extra at other times of the year. Please contact us for further details or you can check to see which accommodation at La Manga Club has air conditioning as standard on the information page of each property.

Emergency calls within La Manga Club Should you or any of your party require and ambulance or any emergency medical treatment, please contact the main Club switchboard or Security, who will be able to assist. The telephone switchboard operators and or your on site management company speak excellent English.

Pets Pets are not allowed in the self catering villas and apartments at La Manga Club.

Cashpoint machines There are cash points at La Plaza, Bellaluz Square and the main road of La Manga Club. La Manga Club also has a few Spanish banks situated on the Club eg La Caixa, BBVA CAM bank and Caja. You may be required to show your passport for any over the counter bank transactions.

Bed Linen & Towels All bed linen (sheets and blankets or duvets) and bath towels are provided in your La Manga Club accommodation, but you will need to take your own beach or pool towels.

Internet Some properties have internet connection, charging for use as highlighted in the property details. Alternatively if you have your own lap top you can access the internet in the Hyatt Regency Hotel reception, but you will be required to purchase a security code which will give you access for 24 hours.

Baby Sitting Baby sitting can be arranged on La Manga Club. Your Management Company may be able to assist with baby sitting. If you are staying in the Hotel please contact the Reception who will be able to assist with baby sitting arrangements. Additionally, The La Manga Childrens Club is open 7 days per week in high season and 5 days per week at all other times - Monday to Friday. The hours of opening are 9 am until 6 pm.

Bike Hire Bike hire is available through the La Manga Activity Centre. There are some great bike routes in and around La Manga Club to suit all levels of ability. During certain times of year the activity centre organises some escorted bike hire rides.

Car Parking All of the apartment and villa communities at La Manga have dedicated parking for your car. There is no central car park but each community will have an area or areas very close to your accommodation where you can park your car. There are security barriers on and off of La Manga Club so your car should be secure. You can rent a car from Murcia Aiport, Alicante Airport and arrange for the car to be delivered to you at La Manga Club.

Post There are regular collections of post mail from La Manga Club and there are post boxes at various locations throughout La Manga Club. The main post office is near the supermarket in the Las Sabinas Commercial Centre on La Manga Club.

Chemist There are 2 chemists at La Manga Club, one in La Plaza close to the tennis centre. The other chemist is just off Bellaluz Square at La Manga Club. The chemist at Bellaluz Square is also dispensary chemist and is open 7 days a week (Sunday mornings only).

Childrens Activities at La Manga Club There is a very extensive range of childrens activities at La Manga Club. The arranged activities are designed for children of all ages including teenagers. For children aged 3 months to 12 years there is a Childrens Club is located next to the tennis centre. During high season, childrens Club is open 7 days a week; at all other times, the childrens club opens from Monday to Friday only.

Courtesy Bus at La Manga Club There is a courtesy bus running around La Manga Club in high season, which has designated bus stops throughout La Manga Club. There is also a Hyatt run shuttle bus, which can be picked up from the hotel or Las Lomas and which runs all through the year. There is also a local bus service running outside the Club, which will take you to La Manga strip from the local towns of Los Belones to Cartagena. There is also a local taxi service situated on La Manga Club. The taxi company will provide fixed rate taxi fares to all local area towns, beaches and attractions.

Currency Euros are the currency used in Spain. All the banks at La Manga Club offer a foreign exchange facility and will convert currency for you. All of our accommodation prices on this website are all shown in GBP £ sterling currency.

Dentist There is a dentist practice on La Manga Club. The contact details of the dentist and the nearest available emergency dentist, please see the Information booklet, which will be in your propery at La Manga Club.

Deposit Safes The majority of the self catering villas and apartments at La Manga Club do not have a deposit safe box installed, but a few do have a safe. If, on arrival, you find that the property in which you are staying has a safe, please refer to your Management Company, who will be able pleased to arrange for you to access the safe during your stay.For guests staying at the Hotel you will have access to a safe.

Do I need a Car at La Manga Club? We do recommend that clients rent a car to really enjoy the benefits that the La Manga Club area has to offer. There are many numerous towns and local villages and some fantastic beaches of the La Manga Del Mar Menor which are worth a visit. You can arrange taxis but if you are flying into Alicante Airport or Murcia Airport the cost of car rental in comparison to a taxi transfer it is sometimes nominal. Whilst you do not always need a car on the club unless you are staying in one of the outlining communities, there are courtesy buses operate throughout La Manga Club although some of the buses only run between May and September. You may park your car rental vehicle very close to all accommodation

Do I need a Passport for La Manga Club in Spain? You will need a valid passport with you for your visit to La Manga Club in Spain. Please ensure that your passport is valid for up to at least six months after your date of return. Some banks and shops still require you to show a valid passport when puchasing goods. The passport acts as photo identification in conjunction with your credit card.

Do the properties at La Manga Club have a Balcony or Terrace? Most of the villas and apartments at La Manga Club will have either a balcony or a terrace, but this cannot be guaranteed. Please refer to the description of each individual property for further details as this will include detailed informatio concerning the layot and design of the villa or apartment.

Is there a Doctor at La Manga Club? The Doctor is located at the Medical Centre next to the Telephone Exchange, near the corner of Calle de la Calabaza and Calle de la Rambla. If you need to make a claim against your holiday insurance for the cost of Doctor treatment, please ensure you request a receipt of all payments made.

Does La Manga Club have a beach? La Manga Club has its own small cove beach on the Mediterranean S. There is also the La Manga del Mar Menor, which offers some great sandy beaches, with calm warm water, within a 10 / 15 minute drive of the Club. La Manga Club beach is called La Cala beach and has a great seafood restaurant, aptly named La Cala Restaurant which is open from the end of May until September. When the restaurant is open the courtesy bus operates to and from the beach at regular intervals. This attractive small beach at La Cala is set against a stunning backdrop of cliffs and during the summer offers a full range of facilities.

Drinking Water at La Manga Club Drinking water. We do not advise you to drink water straight from the tap at La Manga Club. Bottled water is available from the supermarket. There are 2 supermarkets at La Manga Club, the larger supermarket close to the tennis centre offers free same day delivery service, so if you are stocking up on drinking water this service will certainly help.

DVD and Video players. Many of the self catering villas and apartments will have a DVD or video player as standard within the property, You can also rent DVD s from the mini deli at La Manga Club.

Golf Competitions at La Manga Club in Spain

Golfers with a handicap certificate can enter into the three weekly golf competitions at La Manga Club. These competitions are held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We recommend that golf tee times are booked in advance, however if you are flexible with your golf tee time requirements your can arrange these when you arrive at La Manga Club.

Gymnasium at La Manga Club Gymnasium at La Manga Club. There are two very well equipped gyms at the Club, one at the Tennis Centre and the other is part of the Spa at La Manga club. These are both available for everyone staying at the Club to use, but there is a daily entrance fee for both. The spacious gymnasium at the Spa La Manga is fitted with extensive range of equipment such as rowers, static bikes, cardio machines. The gymnasium also has a wide range of strength machines and free weights.

Hair Dryer Hair / blow dryer in your property. Your accomodation at La Manga Club should have a hair / blow dryer, but if a hair blow dryer is an essential item for you, we would recommend that you take your own hair dryer, just in case!

Health and Beauty Salon at La Manga Club Health and Beauty Salon at La Manga Club comprises of a Wellness Centre, complete with Beauty Salon, 13 treatment rooms, including couples rooms, with deluxe spa suites, spacious gymnasium and state of the art fitness studio, jacuzzis, saunas, steam rooms and indoor swimming pool.

Horse Riding There are two horse riding stables close to La Manga Club. Rancho de la Fuenta is located just out side the local town of Los Belones and has a great selection of about 70 horses to suit all levels of horse riding ability. Horse riding can be booked upon arrival, please visit the horse riding stables and chat to the staff who will let you know what horse riding activities are scheduled during your holiday. This will also give you a chance to discuss your level of horse riding ability and to see and meet the horses

How big is La Manga Club? La Manga is like a small town, set in 1400 acres on the Costa Calida. The accommodation is set up like a big village, with about twenty different property communities. There is no main central area although Bellaluz Square has a few shops and restaurants and the tennis centre area has a good selection of restaurants within a few minutes walk.

How do I book golf tee times at La Manga Club? You can book your golf tee times, private golf lessons and the Golf Academy courses directly with the golf club at La Manga Club. There are 3 golf courses at La Manga Club, you need a handicap certificate to play on the South Golf Course, but you an play the North Golf Course and the West Golf Course without a handicap certificate.

How do I book the Football Coaching Academy at La Manga Club? The Football Coaching Academy at La Manga Club is suitable for children, both girls and boys aged up to 15. The La Manga Coaching Academy is open to both boys and girls and all ability levels. Coaching sessions are primarily designed to improve key footballing skills, however, the sessions are specifically fun orientated and stress the acquisition of social skills and confidence. This approach ensures that each child has a rich and rewarding experience, whilst learning and improving their footballing skills. La Manga Direct can assist you with your booking only if you have booked your accommodation though us.

There is the option to combine sport packages for those children wishing to participate in more than one academy in the same week. The academies run at different times so children can participate is as many different academies as they wish. Please follow the Football Academy link below for details and cost saving of booking more than one academy coaching course.

How often is the accommodation at La Manga Club cleaned? Cleaning in the self catering villas and apartments is as follows: Up to 9 nights – Your accommodation will be cleaned prior to arrival, with clean linen and towels for each person. Over 9 nights your accommodation will be cleaned on the 7th day (or by prior agreement) and when you leave

Insects As Spain is a very hot country, it is inevitable that there will be insects of some sort during your stay. We recommend that you take a good mosquito repellent with you and that you empty your rubbish bins at least once a day, in order to avoid an insect infestation. Please do NOT leave food out on display, which will encourage insects into the property. Insect powder can be purchased at both of the on site supermarkets which is very effective deterrent to insects.

Who are the Management Company at La Manga Club? Your Final Holiday Confirmation will provide you with details about your on site Management Company, who will be responsible for looking after your property, whilst you are on holiday at La Manga Club. If you have any problems or issues during your stay, telephone numbers will have been advised to you for daytime and emergency use and should be on display within the property.

Minimum Age to stay at La Manga Club At least one member of the party should have a minimum age of 21.

Nearest Hospital to La Manga Club The nearest hospital to La Manga Club is at Cartagena, approximately 20 minutes away. If you require an ambulance whilst at La Manga Club to get to the hospital in Cartagena, please contact Security or the main La Manga Club switchboard.

Restaurants Restaurants at La Manga Club in Spain. There are over 25 restaurants and bars at La Manga Club in Spain. La Manga offers a wide choice cuisine from Spanish, Italian to Chinese restaurants. Every restauarant at La Manga Club offers a childrens menu and will provide baby seats. There are also a number of snack / restaurant bars offering tapas and light snacks. There is also a geat German bakery close to the tennis centre which is worth a visit for lunch.

Rubbish Disposal Rubbish Disposal at La Manga Club. Rubbish bags will be provided in each property and should be placed in the nearest green wheelie rubbish bin, or the storage cupboard marked “basura”. We recommend that rubbish bins in the accommodation are emptied at least once a day, in order to prevent an infestation of ants or flies.

Satellite/Cable Television There will be at least one TV in each apartment or villa, receiving La Manga Club Television and also about 30 satellite channels, approximately half of which are English speaking, including Sky sports, Eurosport, BBC and Cartoon Network.

Security at La Manga Club La Manga Club has its own 24 hour manned barrier security points, which are located at both entrances to La Manga Club. There are also regular security patrols around the resort and the local police can often be seen too. Security is of paramount importance at La Manga Club and has an excellent secuity record and includes regular checks and 24 hour CCTV in large parts of La Manga Club. The villas and apartments all have secuity locks and it is important that doors and windows are always locked securely when you go out.

Swimming Pools Swimming Pools at La Manga Club. Everyone staying at La Manga Club will have access to a swimming pool. There are about twenty different accommodation communities at La Manga Club and each community has its own swimming pool, solely for the use of the guests staying in that community. Guests who are staying at the Miradores community have access to the Oasis swimming pool at the tennis centre

Telephones Most self catering villas and apartments at La Manga Club, but not all, will have a telephone from which outside telephone calls can be made, however, you will need to ask your on site Management Company to have the telephone activated in order that you can use it. There will be a charge for having the telephone line connected and then you will receive an itemised statement at the end of your stay, showing the total cost of your calls. The calls are not surcharged and are billed at the local telephone company rates, usually Telefonica. If your villa or apartment does not have a telephone, calls can be made from the Telephone Exchange, which is located at the junction of Calle de la Rambla and Calle de la Calabaza. There are also a number public telephone boxes around the Club. The international dialling code to the U.K. is 0044.

Tennis at La Manga Club Tennis at La Manga Club in Spain. The tennis centre at La Manga Club is renown throughout Europe as one of the best of its kind. There are 29 tennis courts with all different types of tennis court surfaces available. The tennis centre at La Manga is centrally located within the Club and is within a short walking distance of many of the accommodation communities at La Manga Club. La Manga also provides a courtesy shuttle bus which operates throughout the club including a direct service to the tennis centre if required. We would certainly recommend the luxury Los Olivos apartment community at La Manga as these are located closest to the tennis centre and within a few minutes walk to the tennis courts.

Time difference The time difference at La Manga Club in Spain is one hour ahead of the U.K.

Tipping Tipping at La Manga Club in Spain is discretionary. If you eat at any of the restaurants at La Manga Club, a Service Charge would not usually be included in the bill and tipping is left to your discretion.

Travel Insurance We recommend that you take Travel Insurance for your holiday to La Manga Club.

What equipment will be in my property at La Manga Club? Equipment. All self catering villas and apartments at La Manga Club will have fully fitted and equipped kitchens, including a washing machine, iron and ironing board and a microwave, plus many will also have a dishwasher. Your accommodation at La Manga Club will include all equipment that you will need for a self-catering holiday. All bed linen and bath towels will be provided, although you will need to take you own beach / swimming pool towels.

What extras are payable at La Manga Club? Our accommodation prices are fully inclusive there are no additional extra to pay such as taxes or fees. If you require extra equipment or services then these can be arranged and are charged at cost. We can arrange baby cots, highchairs and stair gates at an extra cost. You are able to include these extra items at the time of booking your accommodation at La Manga Club or you can let us know at a later date if you are unsure of your requirements at the time of booking.

What happens if I have a complaint at La Manga Club? Please report any complaints in the first instance to your on site Management Company, details of which will be included in your Final Confirmation. They are on site and should be able to solve most complaints immediately.

In the event that you have a complaint which for some reason the management cannot rectify during your stay, please put your comments in writing to us on your return to the U. K. to enable us to investigate the complaint.

Where do I collect the keys to my La Manga Club accommodation? Keys to your accommodation will be available to collect from your Management Company from 4.00pm onwards. At quieter times during the year, it may be possible for you to collect the keys earlier in the day, but we cannot guarantee this. Please ensure that you keep your keys with you at all times and do not leave keys behind in the property, or on the inside of the door lock, so that you cannot get back in. Your on site Management Company will make a charge if you lock yourself out and are called out with a replacement set of keys.
